About the Role

Description

The Inventory Support role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery, receipt, and organization of parts and materials for the service and parts departments. This position plays a vital role in supporting field technicians, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting operational efficiency across multiple locations. Key responsibilities include delivering parts to job sites, assisting with shipping and receiving, conducting inventory cycle counts, and maintaining a clean, organized stockroom and warranty area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, ensuring smooth operations between parts, service, and logistics functions.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull and group orders for the Service Road Team.
  • Receive and check in parts daily.
  • Put away stock items and update bin locations.
  • Run bin “spot checks” as directed.
  • Validate received inventory against original order details (package and description).
  • Conduct daily cycle counts of various inventory assets.
  • Maintain physical inventory as necessary.
  • Control parts inventory consigned to shop and road.
  • Report all overages and shortages to Inventory Manager.
  • Check actual inventory against computerized records.
  • Assist Inventory Control Lead in reducing shrink and maintaining inventory control.
  • File all delivery and inventory receipts.
  • Assist in moving and restructuring the stockroom to make space for new inventory.
  • Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
  • Pack up items for return and create shipping labels.
  • Ship packages to customers, vendors, and technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts department and warranty area.
  • Scrap warranty parts in accordance with manufacturer policy and procedures.
  • Keep log of warranty parts and ensure warranty items are shipped within dedicated timeframes.
  • Create Purchase Orders for Shop & Road Supplies and Work Orders if needed
  • Auditing Negative Inventory, Delivery Tickets, Purchase Order Dates if needed
  • Report Next Day Air Shipments and Review Paused Waiting for Parts if needed
  • Maintain inventory accuracy with warehouse and vans
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis.
  • Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed.
  • Strong reading and communication skills.
  • NetSuite experience is recommended
  • Excel is a Plus
  • Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record

Physical Requirements:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to function in work environment with moderate noise level from several sources creating constant activity.
