About the Role

Description

JOB OVERVIEW: 

The DME Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating durable medical equipment ordering, procurement/delivery, training new employees on DME products and posting charges at The Orthopaedic Institute. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Maintain inventory of all DME products
  • DME Application
  • Posts DME charges
  • Ordering and receiving order in Inventory Management software 
  • Train employees on DME process and procedures
  • Cleaning/stocking 
  • Ensure blood borne pathogen, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and other governmental regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE: 

DME experience preferred

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years of medical office experience preferred

SKILLS:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with computer skills including experience with practice management software desired.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 25 pounds.
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
  • Travel may be required to existing or new TOI locations.
