Description

TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. It builds more than just networks; it connects communities to new valuable digital opportunities. TAK offers comprehensive service solutions, from construction to drops to fulfillment. TAK’s ecosystem of partners allows it to successfully complete every project starting from the first point of conception. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.


We are seeking an EHSQ Coordinator to join our team in the Missoula, MT area. This role supports operations across multiple sites throughout MT, WA, OR and ID with approximately 60% travel annually. The EHSQ Coordinator will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance, conducting site inspections, and leading weekly and monthly safety meetings.


This position offers a unique opportunity to integrate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) with Quality Assurance (QA) to drive consistency, improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, and support sustainability initiatives. In addition to traditional safety responsibilities, this role partners closely with quality control and production teams to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and right the first time. The ideal candidate will provide clear guidance, set expectations, and serve as a trusted resource in aligning safety and quality standards across all projects.

The Role

  • Provide health and safety support to assigned region
  • Ensure safety compliance throughout region
  • Perform safety inspections; in office, warehouse and field
  • Present weekly and monthly safety meetings
  • Attend monthly safety calls and oversee safety committee
  • Develop and implement safety training topics
  • Maintain compliance records; OSHA logs, inspection, investigation and training records
  • Assist with the defensive driving training for new and existing team members
  • Perform incident investigations, identifying cause and proper resolution
  • Collaborate with operation team on accident and injury reduction efforts
  • Maintain a good working relationship with subcontractors
  • Travel to sites throughout the assigned territory +/- 50% annually
  • Receive directions from both the Director of EHS and the Director of QA
  • Perform quality assurance checks “check the checker” to ensure compliance within customer and/or TAK specifications
  • Review and understand the product set, specifications and installation standards as well as help the training team develop content on specific materials to be used
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years broadband, telecommunications, construction, safety or related experience required
  • Previous leadership experience a plus
  • Bi-lingual a plus (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to travel daily, open to a variety of schedules and available as needed in emergency situations
  • Ability to travel up to +/- 60% annually – hybrid (work from home & office) when not traveling
  • Working knowledge of National Electric Code, Occupational Safety and Health ACT (OSHA), and related state and local codes is helpful
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to give feedback; positive and negative when needed
  • Must possess the capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly
  • Ability to manage stress, exercise self-control, adhere to company policies and uphold mission of the organization
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
