About the Role

Description

SUMMARY

Assists with setup and operations of assigned production line. Follow instructions of Lead Operator and perform the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to attain production. 


Must doff, package and load material to specifications described on each customer order.


Conforms to the proper reading and understanding of WTB production schedule and ordered pick lists.


Performs visual inspection of fiber and finished rolls. Removing all processed waste to its designated area. 


Ensure knowledge of tube cores, packaging materials and stock areas for each.    


Learn mechanical/electrical parts of wind-up and there significant purposes.


Comply with lock-out, tag-out procedures. 


Complies with all safety rules and requirements and refers any unresolved safety issues to the Shift Manager.


Ensure great housekeeping and organizational skills of production line.


Ensure great communication between team members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math, count, add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions. Read and Interpret Tape Measure. Read charts for Process control.   

Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and fractions. Ability to read and interpret charts used for process control.

QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully. An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED. Strongly prefer 4 years in manufacturing environment operating machine equipment successfully. Understands Feeds, Speeds, LOTO, etc.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, and interpret documents. 

COMPUTER SKILLS Operations of various production software programs to perform equipment setup and make data entries. 


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to work with limited supervision.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
