Job Summary
The IT Technician Level I will work as part of a team responsible for supporting all aspects of facility technology operations. This position supports automation systems, computers, telecommunications, system and network administration, printers, cameras, and field sensors in a packaging or production environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, be dependable, able to troubleshoot issues efficiently, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for computers, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and related hardware.
- Assist with system and network administration tasks.
- Support telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
- Assist with networking, cabling, CAT 5, and fiber optic installations and repairs.
- Support and maintain network video camera systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot field sensors, automation systems, and related equipment.
- Configure and maintain network printers and other connected devices.
- Assist with hardware installations, upgrades, and replacements.
- Respond to service tickets and support requests in a timely manner.
- Document issues, repairs, and solutions for future reference.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and operations teams to minimize downtime.
- Follow all company safety procedures and technology security standards.
- Participate in weekend or after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field required (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of education in IT and/or related experience
- Knowledge of:
- Systems and network administration
- Telecommunications
- Networking and cabling
- CAT 5 and fiber optic wiring
- Network video cameras
- Basic PC, tablet, and cell phone troubleshooting
- Network printers
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Requirements
Physical & Sensory Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Visual ability to inspect work areas, read measurements, and identify maintenance issues.
- Mostly sedentary, requiring extensive computer use, but may include lifting server equipment (up to 25–50 lbs.) or working under desks for cabling.

- Indoor and outdoor work environments.
