As a Recovery Support Supervisor, you will supervise the Recovery Support Professionals and the Recovery Support Professional Leads assigned to the Heart of Iowa location to provide program continuity and maximize program effectiveness.


Key Duties: 

  • Ensure adequate Recovery Support Professional (RSP) coverage for the assigned residential and halfway house programs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Assign duties to (and monitor) all RSPs through monthly scheduling and reassignments as needed. Maintains on-call schedule for sickness, vacation and holiday replacements.
  • Interview applicants for RSP positions and make recommendations for hire; assign and train staff to provide quality care for all patients and their children, when applicable.
  • Act as a staff back-up for staff illness, vacations, or at any other time when appropriate coverage is not available to handle immediate need.
  • Participate in administrative and other staff meetings when appropriate to serve the best interest of the patients and their children. Works cooperatively and maintains communication with Clinical, Childcare and Administrative staff members.
  • Supervise medication control procedures and schedule exams for patients. Monitor all drug screen procedures within the assigned program.
  • Work cooperatively with clinical and RSP staff members to schedule patient recreation programs.
  • Communicate all maintenance needs with Director of Facility Operations. Monitor patient bedrooms, lounges and laundry rooms for cleanliness, safety and compliance with licensure standards.
  • Coordinates patient transportation program. Communicates all vehicles maintenance needs to Director of Facility Operations.
  • Prepares written and oral reports as directed by program director or designee. Monitors all reports made by RSPs. Maintains and updates manuals used by RSPs.
  • Maintain time and attendance records for RSPs and completes staff evaluations and other records required for good personnel management.
  • Safely operate a vehicle for job-related travel, such as transporting clients, attending off-site meetings, and visiting community partners or service locations.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will have an AA or BA in a human services or management related field.  A HS Diploma/GED and experience leading staff or experience in a residential treatment environment or related field may be substituted for educational requirements. Knowledge of SUD treatment, human services, leadership and management is required, and the ability to use and work well with technology is important. Additionally, qualified candidates must be able to maintain a valid driver's license and possess and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance wit the organization's background policy.  


Salary and Benefits

ASAC offers competitive compensation, this role starts at $60,000 per year with additional compensation for candidates with extensive experience.
