We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Industrial Cleaning Specialist to support our production environment. This part-time role offers flexible day shift hours and the opportunity to contribute to a clean, organized workspace that supports quality, safety, and team success.
SUMMARY
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment by cleaning floors, equipment, machinery, and all internal and external facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Clean and sanitize floors, equipment, and machinery throughout the facility.
2. Use scissor lifts and other appropriate equipment to reach high areas for cleaning.
3. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety regulations, especially around industrial machinery.
4. Dispose of waste materials appropriately.
5. Replenish cleaning supplies and report any inventory shortages.
6. Follow detailed cleaning checklists and schedules.
7. Assist with setting up and cleaning after special events or projects.
8. Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on machinery, as assigned.
9. Perform general facilities maintenance tasks, both inside and outside the building, as assigned.
10. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
1. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be able to read, understand and verbally communicate work instructions.
2. Basic understanding of cleaning products and techniques.
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
4. Basic knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial setting.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Must be able to do basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
2. Must have some computer experience or knowledge.
3. Must have good hand tool skills and mechanical ability.
4. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs. frequently.
5. Must be able to use and become certified on all types of cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and scissor lifts.
6. Must effectively communicate with other departments, coworkers, management and vendors.
