[What the role is]
This is an entry-level traineeship position within the People and Culture Division, offering comprehensive exposure to HR analytics, data management, and digital transformation initiatives. The trainee will work across multiple areas including data architecture development, dashboard creation, analytical reporting, and process improvement. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop competencies in data analysis, visualisation tools, project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management. The trainee will gain valuable experience in translating business requirements into data-driven solutions while contributing to strategic HR decision-making processes within a government agency environment.[What you will be working on]
- Support the development and maintenance of HR data architecture by consolidating people data from various systems and offline sources.
- Assist in the design and creation of interactive dashboards to translate people-related objectives into measurable KPIs and insights.
- Conduct data analysis to generate insights that inform HR strategies, policies, and decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes, including the use of automation and AI-enabled solutions.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand business needs and co-develop data-driven solutions, while supporting change management and user adoption.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, and familiarity with data visualisation software advantageous
- Basic understanding of database concepts and data management principles
- Interest in HR processes and people analytics with willingness to learn HR frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data insights to diverse audiences
- Strong project management and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in team environments from academic projects or internships
- Proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies
- Experience with process improvement or automation projects from academic or internship settings would be beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed
- Interest in public service and contributing to organisational development initiatives
