| DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION | • Ensure lumber loaded on Tilt Hoist is the correct demension. • Observe lift as lumber is placed on chains. • Properly even-end packs of lumber on the Tilt hoist infeed. • Properly scan tickets to be ensure inventory is correct. • Ensure a smooth flow of wood is being fed down the infeed deck chains. • Look for debris such as rocks and metal in wood. • Remove any broken or damaged boards. • Assist planer operator with set up for change over. • Ensure stick belt do not jam or over flow. | ||
| WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS | • Willing to work any shift including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed. • Commitment to safety. • Excellent attendance record. • Good communication skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to learn and adapt to change. • Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations including wearing safety equipment. • Ability to work in noisy envirnoment. | ||
| PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS | • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds. • Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures. •Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time. • Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions. | ||
| EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS | • High School Diploma or GED required. | ||
| ADDITIONAL COMMENTS | Preferred Experience: • Driving and operating a mobile equipment such as front end loader, skid steer or forklift within an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Basic computer skills. • Experience working in lumber or wood products industry and/or manufacturing. • Experience troubleshooting equipment. • Sawmill experience preferred. | ||
