DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
 • Ensure lumber loaded on Tilt Hoist is the correct demension.
 • Observe lift as lumber is placed on chains. 
 • Properly even-end packs of lumber on the Tilt hoist infeed.
 • Properly scan tickets to be ensure inventory is correct. 
 • Ensure a smooth flow of wood is being fed down the infeed deck chains.
 • Look for debris such as rocks and metal in wood. 
 • Remove any broken or damaged boards. 
 • Assist planer operator with set up for change over. 
 • Ensure stick belt do not jam or over flow.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS• Willing to work any shift including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.
 • Commitment to safety.
 • Excellent attendance record.
 • Good communication skills.
 • Ability to work in a team environment.
 • Ability to learn and adapt to change.
 • Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations including wearing safety equipment.
 • Ability to work in noisy envirnoment.
 
PHYSICAL
 REQUIREMENTS

 • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
 • Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures.
 •Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time.
 • Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• High School Diploma or GED required.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTSPreferred Experience:
 • Driving and operating a mobile equipment such as front end loader, skid steer or forklift within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
 • Basic computer skills.
 • Experience working in lumber or wood products industry and/or manufacturing.
 • Experience troubleshooting equipment.
 • Sawmill experience preferred.
