About the Role 

The Store Team Leader provides full leadership and accountability for store operations, team performance, and member experience. This role oversees all aspects of store execution, including financial performance, staff development, safety, merchandising, and customer service. 

The Store Team Leader translates cooperative-wide strategy into daily store practice while cultivating a respectful, high performing, and people centered culture. 


What You Will Do 

  • Lead and oversee all daily store operations across departments 
  • Drive financial performance including sales, labor management, and expense control 
  • Develop and coach department leaders to build strong, accountable teams 
  • Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, product availability, and store standards 
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture 
  • Respond to and resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care 
  • Partner with Purchasing, Marketing, HR, and Operations to implement organizational initiatives 
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards 
  • Serve as the final decision maker for store level operational matters

  • Staff engagement is strong and turnover is managed effectively 
  • Customer experience is consistently positive and reflective of cooperative values

What You’ll Bring 

  • 3+ years in leadership experience in grocery, retail, or food service operations 
  • Strong financial acumen and operational decision making 
  • Ability to lead through clarity, accountability, and respect 
  • Experience developing and coaching supervisors or managers 
  • Commitment to cooperative values and community centered work 

Compensation & Benefits 

This position offers a salary range of $65,000 – $92,000, aligned with market benchmarks for similar cooperative roles. New hires are typically brought in between the minimum and midpoint of the range, with placement based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The midpoint of $76,000 reflects full proficiency in the role.
