As a DSP - Shared Program Support, you'll play a unique and impactful role supporting individuals served across both our Residential and Adult Day Program, helping to create seamless, empowering daily experiences.


SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

  • On-site position, 6:30am-2:30pm. 
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.  
  • Salary range $21.50-$22.50/hr (hourly/non-exempt). 
  • Salary based on skills and experience.
  • Up to 6% annual bonus potential
  • 403b retirement plan with up to a 4% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Start your day with purpose by supporting individuals in a residential CILA setting, assisting with morning routines, ADLs, and preparing for the day.
  • Safely transport individuals to and from the Day Program while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Deliver engaging, skill-building programming in the Day Program, supporting independence, community integration, and personal growth.
  • Provide person-centered support through individualized plans, daily activities, personal care, and skill-building.
  • Assist with leading and implementing curriculum and activities, bringing creativity and energy into the learning environment.
  • Document progress and support plans, ensuring high-quality care and communication.
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate for those you support.
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support each individual's journey.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every individual is valued and respected.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Experience working with intellectual and developmental disability population (preferred).

Skill Sets:

  • Ability to fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency, including but not limited to, crisis management (including de-escalation strategies and physical management techniques) and DSP training within 90 days of hire if applicable.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and proof of ongoing personal motor vehicle insurance required.
  • Ability to promote and adhere to company values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist clients, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 
  • The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
  • The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer). 
  • Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist clients/students. 
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
