Job Summary

The Shipping/Inventory person is a key team member who is responsible for all of the shipping and receiving functions of the company. They will also be responsible to help maintain and control the inventory system both physically as well as in the ERP system. Shipping/Inventory will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform janitorial, preventative, predictive and routine maintenance as well as other tasks as needed.

Essential Functions

· Prepare outgoing shipments & corresponding paperwork for all parts that arrive at shipping desk by 3:00 p.m.

· Complete job routings within 24 hours of shipping

· Receive, distribute and process incoming shipments and paperwork within 4 hours of arrival.

· Coordinate proper shipping carriers based on schedule due dates and pricing and PO requirements

  • Perform proper      cleaning and packaging of all parts
  • Proper handling of      chemicals, SDS and PPE
  • Report      shipment status and tracking information      when appropriate
  • Operate material handling equipment      – i.e. forklifts (training provided)
  • Must work overtime as required for      business needs

· Local travel between both facilities likely

· Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided

· Clean driving record a must (as determined by ATM’s insurance company)

  • Complete      purchasing tasks as needed (Backup      to Purchasing)
  • Properly document all work      completed both on Job Travelers and in ERP system
  • Work effectively within a team to help achieve company      goals
  • Perform      or schedule routine maintenance and/or preventative maintenance on      facilities equipment
  • Troubleshoot      and repair mechanical breakdowns on light equipment
  • Assists      in set up and installation of new and relocated equipment as needed
  • General      building & facility maintenance / other duties as assigned
  • Communicate with Facilities Manager      about facility needs
  • Perform general repairs, improvements      and other special projects as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as needed

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate 

· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (as determined by ATM’s insurance company)

· Degree in a technical field preferred

  • Exceptional and strong commitment to customer service

· Experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus

· Experience in Manufacturing/Machining industry a plus

· Familiar with ISO and/or AS9100 a plus

  • Knowledge      of industrial technologies such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics      a plus

  • Must      have basic problem solving and analytical skills and demonstrate the      ability to troubleshoot and evaluate technical problems

· Ability to communicate professionally (written and verbal) with all areas of the company so that the workflow continues without delay and improves on-time delivery

· Notify manager of issues that hinder the production process

· Ability to write and maintain repair and maintenance reports 

  • Proficient      in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be      able to work with suppliers, and strive for improved relations
  • Must      be able to do strenuous work such as climbing, balancing, kneeling      squatting, crawling, twisting, bending at the waist reaching, and lift up      to 60 pounds and working at heights in excess of 10ft.
  • Familiar      with the use and safety of hand tools
  • Ability      to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to      work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced,      changing environment 
  • Ability to      maintain regular and predictable attendance with a strong work ethic
  • Capable of      establishing priorities and balancing multiple activities simultaneously
  • Performs      work under general supervision
  • Is prepared and ready to work at the start of your shift
  • Uses time productively, which includes housekeeping,      keeping a clean work area and helping other areas during down times
