Job Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Leader, Healthy Living, the Facility Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operation of building maintenance, facility rentals, custodial department which includes contractual and Y staff, contractual agreements, safety, attractiveness and longevity of facility and grounds. In addition, the Facility Coordinator will assist in the maintenance and performance of pool operating equipment.
Requirements
Essential Functions: · Supervise facility maintenance and cleaning schedules. Provide daily, weekly and monthly cleanliness and maintenance reports.
- Ability to function hands on maintenance and custodial job responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the facility and pool
- A working knowledge of mechanical, structural and electrical systems
- Serve as a project manager for major repairs and facility renovations as assigned
- Maintain complete records of all maintenance work for North Region facilities
- Negotiate and maintain maintenance and custodial contracts
- Knowledge of county, state and federal regulations to ensure facility operations meet regulations
- Knowledge of Washington State Energy Compliance Regulations
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of Associate 1 Level Staff
- Prioritize facility projects, expiring assets and shutdown priorities
- Regularly monitor annual fiscal plans to ensure financial success of YMCA
- Responsible for all aspects of facility rentals including but not limited to scheduling, rental agreement negotiation, invoicing and rental agreement processing.
- Responsible for Risk Management in the facility including but not limited to tracking SDS notebook, equipment safety etc.
Additional Functions:
- Participate in all Regional Staff Meetings and functions·
- Active member of the Safety Cabinet
- Serve as Manager on Duty at Clark County Family YMCA as necessary
- Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours.
- Ability to lift to 80lbs.
- Supervise, participate in the set-up, and take-down of facility events and rentals.
- Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population in a friendly, enthusiastic manner even in confrontational situations for positive outcomes.
- Possess a strong understanding of all programs, activities and services, with the ability to provide members with detailed, accurate and timely information regarding schedules, costs, programs, and facility information.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must pass YMCA background check
- CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire certifications within 30 days of employment
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred; or willing to obtain certification
- Facility management experience
- Reliable transportation to travel to sites across North Region
- 1 year of supervisory experience in varying capacities
