SUMMARY

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. This role ensures all utensils, cookware, and equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored while supporting kitchen operations and upholding safety standards.

  • Wash, sanitize, and maintain all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and cookware

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, storage areas, and garbage disposal

  • Assist culinary staff with basic support as needed

  • Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment

  • Monitor and report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards

  • Support inventory management for cleaning supplies, chemicals, and utensils

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen and service areas

  • Follow all company policies and procedures

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience in kitchen stewarding or sanitation a plus

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
