Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and service-driven Head Waiter to lead our front-of-house team. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient dining service while delivering a premium experience to our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily front-of-house operations during service

  • Lead and support the team of waiters/waitresses — assign sections, monitor performance, and assist where needed

  • Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service

  • Train and mentor junior staff on service standards, etiquette, and club protocols

  • Act as the point of contact between kitchen, bar, and service staff during shifts

  • Monitor table setups, cleanliness, and presentation before and during service

  • Handle guest complaints or special requests with diplomacy and speed

  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards

  • Support the planning and execution of club events, private dinners, and banquets

  • Maintain stock of service-related supplies and report shortages

  • Assist with performance reviews and suggest improvements to service procedures

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior waiter/head waiter or in a similar supervisory role

  • Strong leadership and delegation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities

  • Deep understanding of fine dining service and hospitality standards

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, high-end environment

  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a private club, luxury hotel, or fine dining setting

  • Food handling and/or alcohol service certifications

  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and pairings
