Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and service-driven Head Waiter to lead our front-of-house team. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient dining service while delivering a premium experience to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the daily front-of-house operations during service
Lead and support the team of waiters/waitresses — assign sections, monitor performance, and assist where needed
Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service
Train and mentor junior staff on service standards, etiquette, and club protocols
Act as the point of contact between kitchen, bar, and service staff during shifts
Monitor table setups, cleanliness, and presentation before and during service
Handle guest complaints or special requests with diplomacy and speed
Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
Support the planning and execution of club events, private dinners, and banquets
Maintain stock of service-related supplies and report shortages
Assist with performance reviews and suggest improvements to service procedures
Qualifications
Requirements:
Proven experience as a senior waiter/head waiter or in a similar supervisory role
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities
Deep understanding of fine dining service and hospitality standards
Professional appearance and demeanor
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, high-end environment
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a private club, luxury hotel, or fine dining setting
Food handling and/or alcohol service certifications
Knowledge of wine, spirits, and pairings
