About the Role

 

FUNCTIONS SUMMARY 

Administers all modalities of Respiratory Care and related services to critical and non-critical care patients in accordance with both departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Acts in a Team Leader capacity to coordinate the daily operation of the Respiratory Care Services including patient assignment and shift reports. Assists with the orientation of new employees and acts as a resource for Therapists, Technicians, Physicians, and Nurses. 

 

 



 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education 
Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC and must be a licensed Respiratory Care professional in the state of Ohio. 

Training and/or Experience 
Six months clinical experience to include experience in critical care preferred. 

Skills 
Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, other Respiratory Care personnel, physicians and nurses. Must be capable of demonstrating Respiratory Care policies, techniques and procedures. Must possess good knowledge and understanding of all Respiratory Care techniques including operation and function of related equipment.
