About the Role
The Pharmacist reviews all medication orders received from Physicians and Physician Extenders and dispenses medications after assuring that drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate. Reviews patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing medications. Responsible for inventory control. Provides drug information support for other healthcare team members. The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process. The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care and discharge planning.

Education
Bachelor's Degree College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education Required
Doctorate Degree PharmD Preferred

Experience
1 year experience working in hospital, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting Preferred

Licenses
PA Pharmacist License Required
Basic Life Support Preferred
