Description
The Duplicating Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and producing documents using high-volume duplicating and copying equipment. This role ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality document reproduction in accordance with established procedures and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-volume duplicating machines and copiers
- Set up machines and adjust settings according to job requirements
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency
- Receive, prioritize, and manage incoming print and copy requests
- Ensure all jobs are completed accurately and within required timeframes
- Inspect completed materials to confirm quality standards are met
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs
- Monitor supply levels and restock paper, toner, and related materials
- Handle confidential and sensitive materials in accordance with security protocols
- Provide status updates and customer service to internal clients
- Maintain production logs, records, and other required documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in a copy center or print production environment
- Experience operating high-volume duplicating and copying equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the United States; ability to obtain/maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a print shop or government environment
- Familiarity with print finishing equipment
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive materials
