Floral Design Assistant

Summary:

Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming with special events. The Floral Design Assistant is an instrumental part in creating the look clients want to accomplish for one of the most memorable days of their lives. This position is an entry-level position ideal for someone with a floral and/or design background who wants to expand their knowledge and gain hands-on experience in this field.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with on-site event breakdown by collecting floral arrangements, candles, vases, décor, and rental items from service and back-of-house areas
• Carefully pack and load the remaining floral pieces, containers, and supplies for safe transport back to the studio
• Dispose of or compost flowers and greenery according to studio procedures
• Wash, sanitize, and dry vases, buckets, tools, and floral containers upon return to the studio
• Restock floral supplies and reset the workspace in preparation for upcoming design work and events
• Maintain overall studio cleanliness, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, organizing tools, and removing trash
• Process candles, including removing wax from glass containers for reuse
• Drive company vehicles on-site 
• Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment within the floral team and across departments, and with outside vendors

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous floral or event experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in floral design and willingness to learn.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to lift and transport floral arrangements and supplies.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work on their feet for the entirety of their shift
• Able to relate to a diverse set of team members, clients, and guests
• Inspire a “Bring the Cows Home” spirit

Compensation:

• Pay is commensurate with experience
