The legendary Cherry Hills Country Club has hosted 12 major tournaments during its storied 93 year history and is perennially listed in the Top 100 clubs in the United States. Most recently the Club hosted the 2014 BMW Championship that included the top 70 professional golfers in the world. The tournament was named PGA Tournament of the Year for the 3rd year and raised $3.5MM for the Evans Scholarship Fund. The Club hosted the 1960 US Open which many golf historians consider to be one of golf's best ever tournaments that produced Arnold Palmer's only US Open win against the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan. Palmer stormed back on the final round making birdie on 6 of the first 7 holes and with Ben Hogan's bogey on 17 & 18 Palmer won his first and only US Open. In addition to premier playing conditions for golf the Club provides spectacular Food and Beverage with patio dining overlooking the majestic rocky mountains. Additionally, the Club has a seasonal pool operation and a formidable tennis program with 6 hard courts and 2 clay courts. The Clubhouse was designed by Burnham and Merrill Hoyt who also won acclaims for designing Red Rocks Amphitheatre just west of Denver along with the Denver Press Club, the original Children's Hospital and the Denver Public Library. Cherry Hills Country Club, founded in 1922, is a family friendly Club with over 690 members. Facilities include a renowned championship golf course, a full-service golf shop, driving range, practice facilities, halfway house, and Par 3 course: eight outdoor tennis courts incorporating two pickleball courts, tennis shop, a family pool complex with café, junior Olympic size swimming pool and an active children’s club.

Summary:

Cherry Hills Country Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for seasonal and year round servers in our luxury Arnie's steakhouse. Servers provide à la carte food and beverage service in an upscale environment to Club members and guests.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Providing members and guests with an exceptional dining experience
Accurate use of Point-of-sale system
Learning members names and preferences to provide best-in-class service
Full menu/beverage knowledge, basic wine knowledge
Service may include a la carte restaurant service and social events

Requirements

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will possess a minimum of one-year fine dining experience or similar qualification, have a strong work ethic and the ability to work with a team. Cherry Hills Country Club expects professional demeanor and appearance as well as an engaging personality. Applicants should also have excellent communication skills and desire to work in a fast paced, upscale environment. Applicant must be flexible with hours, a changing schedule, holidays and weekends.

Compensation:

This position is part-time offered at $18 per hour plus service charge pool.

Sick pay up to 48 hours a year - accrued based on hours worked
