Legacy Transportation Services is currently seeking a qualified Lead Rigger. This is a traveling position and is not limited by place of residence.
The Lead Rigger is responsible for overseeing rigging operations, leading crew members, and performing the lifting, moving, and installation of large or heavy equipment using appropriate handling methods and equipment. This role involves interpreting and adhering to rigging and installation guidelines, site planning guides, ensuring correct positioning and setup of machinery, and upholding stringent safety protocols on all job sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and guide rigging crew on job sites
- Perform rigging and mechanical installation of equipment
- Read and follow site planning guides, schematics, and technical instructions
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Inspect all rigging equipment to ensure safety and compliance
- Perform routine inspections and light maintenance on tools and equipment, such as hand tools and lifting devices.
- Conduct site surveys and assess job requirements
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards

Requirements
- 5 plus years of rigging experience required
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (Canada)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Broad-based mechanical aptitude
- Experience with rigging and heavy lift operations
- Ability to read manuals and follow detailed instructions
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to travel for extended periods (weeks at a time) and maintain a flexible work schedule
