Need help but don’t know where to turn? Dial 2-1-1. - Teen Link: An anonymous and confidential help line for youth, answered by teen volunteers. Phone and chat are available every evening from 6-10pm. Teen Link also provides youth suicide prevention trainings in area schools. - WA Warm Line: A statewide peer support help line for people living with mental illness. - Survivors of Suicide: Support groups for anyone who's lost a loved one to suicide. Crisis Intervention Specialist – Graveyard Shift


Make a difference when it matters most. When people are facing their hardest moments, they need calm, skilled support—right now. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you’ll play a critical behind-the-scenes role on our 24/7 Regional Crisis Line, supporting frontline phone workers and ensuring callers receive compassionate, effective care during overnight hours. This is a meaningful opportunity for experienced behavioral health professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and want their work to directly impact individuals, families, and communities.

What you’ll do

  • Provide real-time clinical guidance to crisis line Phone Workers and Screeners
  • Support assessment, intervention planning, and crisis resolution
  • Offer debriefing and emotional support to staff after challenging calls
  • Monitor call activity to ensure timely, high-quality responses
  • Coordinate care and resources with hospitals and community partners
  • Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in training, quality improvement, and team collaboration


Requirements

 

What we’re looking for

  • Background in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or substance use services
  • Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
  • Comfort working with multiple technology systems at once
  • Education/experience that meets one of the following: 
    • High School Diploma or GED + 4 years of behavioral health experience
    • OR a related degree with corresponding experience (Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s) 
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential through the WA Department of Health required by the end of the probationary period. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of hire. Crisis Connections will reimburse the cost of obtaining the credential. 

Schedule & Pay

  • Graveyard / after-hours shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • $27.87/hour + $2.00/hour graveyard differential
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available

  • In-person role at our Seattle Call Center
