Job Purpose
Market Supervision is the front-line operations team supporting the function and surveillance of global derivatives markets across the ICE Exchanges — including ICE Futures Europe, ICE Futures U.S., ICE Futures Abu Dhabi, ICE Endex, and ICE Futures Singapore (IFSG), where this role is based.
As a Market Supervision Analyst, you will build a robust understanding of financial markets and the operational processes that underpin them, with hands-on exposure across multiple international asset classes including Oil, Utilities, Soft Commodities, Fixed Income, Equities, and Indices.
Based in Singapore, you will serve as part of ICE’s APAC time zone presence, providing market oversight and operational continuity across all ICE Exchanges during Asian trading hours. This makes the Singapore team a critical link in the global chain of Market Supervision — ensuring seamless, around-the-clock coverage as markets open across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
Responsibilities
- Price Management - Maintain price controls across IFSG's listed products, ensuring orders are entered within representative market values and reducing the likelihood and impact of erroneous trades.
- Trade Investigations - Conduct time-sensitive investigations in response to unrepresentative trading activity, where robust and efficient decision-making is critical.
- Official Exchange Settlement Prices - Contribute to the accurate and timely calculation of daily and final Official Exchange Settlement Prices, which serve as benchmark reference prices and are used by ICE Clear to manage participant risk.
- Market Surveillance - Monitor trading activity across IFSG markets using dedicated surveillance tools, identifying irregularities and handling alerts from other ICE Exchanges during the APAC trading session.
- Front-Line Support - Market Supervision & Trade Operations - Provide a broad range of support to traders, brokers, clearers, and other market participants — from answering day-to-day trading queries to assisting with user setup and clearing account configuration.
Knowledge and Experience
- We require a minimum Upper Second Class Honours degree; a background in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field is preferred, though we welcome applicants from any discipline provided they have the drive and curiosity to learn. Your development is a crucial investment for us.
- Methodical, proficient problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and engage with clients and colleagues at all levels of seniority.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools, with the ability to analyse data and draw meaningful insights; an interest in developing these skills further, including the use of AI tools to enhance analytical output and operational efficiency.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Inquisitive mindset and a genuine curiosity about how markets work; you do not need to know everything — we will train you.
