The Senior Manager, SRE will define and execute the SRE strategy to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems. They will also lead, mentor, and build a team of SRE engineers while driving infrastructure automation and observability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Reliability & Resilience
- Define and execute the SRE strategy to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems.
- Establish and enforce SLOs, SLIs and error budgets across product domains.
- Leverage AI/ML and intelligent agents for predictive incident prevention and autonomous remediation.
- Lead incident management processes, including major incident response, RCA, and prevention planning.
- Champion blameless postmortems and continuous improvement of system resilience.
Infrastructure Automation & Observability
- Design and implement automated solutions for provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle operations using IaC.
- Build comprehensive observability stacks - leveraging metrics, logs, traces, and alerts - using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Open Telemetry, or equivalent.
- Drive proactive monitoring and anomaly detection to reduce MTTR and prevent outages.
Release Engineering
- Own and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, fast, and frequent deployments.
- Implement progressive delivery patterns (canary releases, feature flags, blue/green) to minimize risk.
- Enforce quality gates, automated testing, and rollback mechanisms across environments
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Build, lead, and mentor a growing team of vendor SRE engineers
- Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and operational discipline.
- Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Data, AI Platform, and Security teams to align reliability goals with business objectives.
- Advocate for platform health and operational needs in roadmap planning and technical design reviews.
- Communicate technical risks and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software or systems engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering leadership role.
- Proven track record of operating large-scale, high-traffic production systems.
- Deep expertise in: Cloud platforms (AliCloud, AWS),Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm),IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi),Monitoring & observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.),Scripting and programming (Python, Go, Bash)
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
- Solid grasp of Linux systems, automation, and performance tuning.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin - essential for global collaboration.
