Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting your community’s healthcare needs? MCHC is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, supportive, and efficient experience at our clinics.


About the Role


As a PSR, you’ll greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and support clinic operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and customer service.


What You’ll Do

  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and warmth.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-up visits.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and guide patients through financial assistance options.
  • Assist patients with registration, forms, and use of the patient portal.
  • Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain and update patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.


What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
  • Experience with scheduling, insurance, or medical office work preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years’ experience in healthcare, in a similar position or in another industry, in a customer service role
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish, fluent
