Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company with our home office in Seymour, Indiana; and satellite offices in Valparaiso, IN; Evansville, IN; Truesdale, MO; Jackson, TN; Knoxville, TN; Williamsville, IL; Elkhart, IA; Davenport, IA; Elizabethtown, KY; and Lakemoor, IL. We are actively growing and need to add an Aquatic Biologist at our Seymour, Office.

The Position:

  • Primary duty will be the application of EPA registered aquatic herbicides and algaecides
  • Installation and maintenance of aerators, fountains, and compressed air systems
  • Aquatic plant surveys
  • Writing vegetation management plans
  • Performing fish surveys
  • Attend industry related training events and conferences
  • Heavy field work from March through October
  • General maintenance of trucks, boats, equipment, and grounds
  • Speaking at pond clinics, trade shows, and public meetings

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fisheries/aquatic science, agriculture, or a natural resources-related field
  • Insurable Driving Record
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening & DOT Physical
  • Comfortable Driving Truck & Boat Trailer Combination
  • Basic mechanical ability (experience in outboard motor operation is a plus)
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment (physical labor required)
  • Ability to work an average of 50-60 hours per week
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
