Position Overview

The Gate Shop Associate is responsible for building chain link gates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role focuses on efficiently producing quality gates while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Occasional support in the yard may be required.

Pay: $23.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities

Gate Fabrication (Primary)

Assemble chain link gates to order specifications
Stretch and secure chain link fabric onto gate frames
Install hardware, including tension bars, bands, and fittings
Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately
Inspect finished gates to ensure quality, alignment, and durability

Shop Operations

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Properly use and care for tools and equipment
Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required PPE

Yard Support (As Needed)

Assist with loading and unloading materials
Help stage and move finished gates
Support general yard organization when required

Requirements

Qualifications

Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
Comfortable working in a shop and an outdoor environment
Basic measuring and tool skills
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Prior fabrication, fencing, or construction experience is a plus

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday
Full-time, with occasional overtime based on workload
