Automotive Parts Counter

Description

As an Automotive Parts Counterperson you will play an integral part in our shop operations. This position pulls and fills automotive parts orders from stock, delivering parts to Technicians or Guests, effectively working with Service Advisors and Technician, locating out-of-stock parts through outside sources, and more. You will be responsible for providing high levels of Guest Service to both internal and external Guests, while working in a fast paced and fun environment.

Primary duties include:

• Pulling and filling internal and external parts orders for pick up, delivery, or shipment.
• Locating parts from outside vendors when required due to parts being out-of-stock.
• Effectively communicating with Guests/Customers on prices/quotes and collecting payments.
• Ensure internal parts requests are properly billed and that Technicians receive their parts timely.
• Conduct weekly bin checks to ensure accurate inventory.
• Monitors parts inventory levels and shop materials and notifies Management of anything that needs immediate attention.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills
• Effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

The workdays for this position are Monday through Friday, with a rotational Saturday.

The starting hourly pay rate range for this position is $16.00 – $18.00+ and will be evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education and other job-related factors permitted by law.
