Overview
Responsible for the planning and development of a variety of social and recreational activities based within a busy senior center.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of a variety of special events and trips for senior citizens.
- Responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the senior center.
- Assist in the provision of information & referral, advocacy, and crisis intervention services.
- Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts for all center activities.
- Coordinate services with other providers within the community.
- Maintain accurate records pertaining to all center activities.
- Perform related work as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in Human Services preferred.
- Prior experience working with senior citizens in a social/recreational setting.
- Prior experience working in a community-based human service agency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
