Job Description
Steel mill needs an Electrical Engineer to be part of the engineering maintenance team, providing services to the operations and maintenance departments. Your responsibilities will include plant power distribution and controls engineering throughout the plant.
This job is in Virginia. The company has an extremely generous compensation package which includes relocation and a bonus.
Must have a heavy industrial background. Experience in primary metals, such as aluminum or steel, paper, lumber, concrete, automotive, mining would be a good fit.
High and medium voltage power distribution, including protective relaying, transformers, and switchgear maintenance.
Capital equipment maintenance or construction projects, including planning for shutdowns.
Controls and automation projects, including Variable Frequency Drives, robotics, PLC’s.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience working in heavy industry as a senior electrical engineer
With a safety-first approach, experience with general plant maintenance team training
Strong background in project planning
