ABOUT THE ROLE
Locations: Village Commons, 610 8 Ave SE
Full Time Regular: 37.5 hours per week Salary: $49,500 - $62,500
The Community Hub Navigator is a key member of the Village Commons team and serves as the first point of contact for individuals accessing the space. This role creates a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for community members, older adults, families, participants, and visitors.
This role supports participants in accessing programs, services, and community resources by providing information, conducting intake, and helping individuals navigate available supports. Through strong communication, organization, and knowledge of Carya programs and community services, the Navigator contributes to a well-functioning, safe, and engaging space.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Participant Experience & Front-Line Support
- Greet and welcome participants, visitors, and community members in a warm, inclusive, and professional manner
- Serve as the first point of contact, responding to inquiries and supporting a safe, respectful environment
- Provide clear information about programs, building access, and direct individuals to appropriate spaces or staff
Intake & Navigation
- Conduct participant intakes and provide an overview of programs and services.
- Assess needs and connect individuals to appropriate programs, staff, or community resources.
- Maintain knowledge of internal programs and external supports to guide participants effectively.
Program Coordination & Administrative Support
- Support participant registration, check-in processes, and ongoing communication.
- Maintain accurate program information and assist with program materials and outreach.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partners to support program awareness and participation.
Space Operations & Daily Coordination
- Support daily operations, including opening and closing tasks while maintaining a welcoming front area.
- Monitor participant flow and contribute to a safe, organized, and well-functioning space.
- Manage tasks independently while balancing competing priorities.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Community Rehabilitation, or a related field is required.
- Up to 1 year of relevant experience in a community, social services, or client-facing environment, including direct interaction with the public
- Experience in a client-facing or front-line role, engaging with diverse populations and responding to a range of needs, including crisis situations, in a professional and ethical manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint, and basic Excel
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and data-related tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse participants and team members
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, front-line environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, participant-centered service
- Knowledge of community resources and social services is considered an asset
