TITLE: Communications and Lifestyle Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt-Full-Time
REPORTS TO: Lifestyle and Engagement Manager
LOCATION: Kissing Tree - San Marcos, Texas
Summary
The Communications & Lifestyle Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the mission of the Cohere Community Life Team by fostering meaningful connections, enhancing resident engagement, and supporting a vibrant, lifestyle-driven community experience. This position helps create a strong sense of belonging by delivering exceptional communication strategies, resident programs, and engaging experiences that make the community a unique place to live.
This role supports both written and digital communications, as well as lifestyle programming and event execution. The Communications and Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and distributing clear, engaging, and accurate communications that keep residents informed, connected, and engaged. In addition, this position actively supports the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of community events, ensuring a high-quality resident experience.
This role requires a strong presence within the community, including attending and supporting events, engaging with residents, vendors, and stakeholders, and contributing to a positive, welcoming environment that reflects the unique lifestyle and service standards of Cohere.
The Communications & Lifestyle Coordinator actively supports the values, vision, and philosophies of Cohere while consistently delivering a high level of service, professionalism, and satisfaction to residents and community stakeholders.
SCOPE
- Support the delivery of the community brand and strategic initiatives as they relate to resident engagement, communications, and overall community operations.
- Create, curate, and distribute engaging community communications, including e-blasts, newsletters, website updates, social media content, and other digital or print collateral.
- Promote community initiatives, programs, outreach efforts, and partner relationships through clear, timely, and compelling messaging.
- Maintain and update community calendars, event listings, RSVP systems, and communication platforms to ensure accurate and consistent information across all channels.
- Manage and update the community website with current event details, program information, registrations, and reference materials.
- Develop creative promotional campaigns and partner with leadership to execute effective communication strategies that support events, programs, and operations.
- Stay informed on all programs, activities, and community updates to ensure seamless communication and exceptional resident service.
- Support the planning, coordination, promotion, and successful execution of community programs and events, including welcome experiences, clubs, leadership initiatives, and signature events.
- Provide on-site event support including setup, breakdown, logistics coordination, resident interaction, and overall event experience.
- Maintain a visible and positive presence throughout the community, building relationships with residents and creating a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with internal departments, community partners, and vendors to coordinate logistics, programming, and communication efforts.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring contracts, insurance requirements, deliverables, and invoices are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized and accurate records related to communications, marketing initiatives, event planning, budgets, and community operations.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans, budgets, and engagement goals for the community.
- Participate actively in team meetings, share best practices, and contribute to innovative problem-solving initiatives.
- Build strong resident relationships through creativity, enthusiasm, and genuine engagement while supporting a wide variety of interests, lifestyles, and age groups.
- Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed to support community programming and resident engagement.

KNOWLEDGE | EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in any of these areas: communications, marketing, event planning, hospitality, community engagement, lifestyle programming, or related field.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills with an emphasis on promotional, engaging, and audience-focused content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience using digital communication platforms such as social media channels, SharePoint, WordPress, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Eventbrite, and other email marketing or event management tools.
- Proficiency in Canva, Canva Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
- Experience with graphic design tools, photo editing software, and content creation platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and maintaining online calendars, event pages, and digital resources.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and database management.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software platforms and technologies.
- Experience working with residents, volunteers, members, stakeholders, or similar customer-focused groups preferred.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating events, meetings, programs, and communications initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills include leadership, motivation, collaboration, conflict resolution, and relationship building.
- Self-motivated professional with a positive attitude, sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The Communications and Lifestyle Coordinator should expect to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to provide one’s own transportation for off-site programs, meetings with partners, picking up necessary supplies, etc.; must have a current drivers’ license and an acceptable driving record.
- The Communications and Lifestyle Coordinator must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and be on feet for extended periods.
