About the Role


Job Summary

The Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operational performance, personnel management, compliance, and client relationships across assigned regions within Tact Tech Security Solutions. This role ensures consistent service delivery, adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, and the development of strong site leadership. The Area Supervisor serves as a key operational leader and liaison between field operations, clients, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed professional who can work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment in day-to-day responsibilities and escalating only significant concerns through scheduled or periodic meetings with leadership.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple client sites within the assigned region.

  • Ensure all posts are properly staffed, scheduled, and operated in accordance with post orders and company standards.

  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and operational audits to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Respond to escalated operational issues, incidents, and emergencies as needed.

  • Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and operational directives.

  • Maintain accountability for the performance of employees within the assigned region. 

  • Track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements and achieve performance goals.

Leadership & Personnel Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Site Supervisors, Field Supervisors, and other personnel within the area.

  • Ensure proper onboarding, training, and ongoing development of personnel within the region.

  • Address performance concerns and enforce corrective action in accordance with company policy, in coordination with HR.

  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professionalism across all assigned sites.

Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.

  • Conduct regular client meetings, site walkthroughs, and performance check-ins.

  • Address client concerns promptly and work to resolve service-related issues.

  • Support contract retention through proactive communication and consistent service quality.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing private security operations.

  • Verify that all personnel meet licensing, training, and certification requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to post orders, incident reporting protocols, and documentation standards.

  • Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Ensure company-issued equipment, vehicles, and technology are used in accordance with policy.

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.

  • Submit required reports, incident summaries, and operational updates to leadership.

  • Coordinate with internal departments to support staffing, training, and operational needs.


Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, military, or related leadership roles.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple sites or teams.

  • Strong understanding of private security operations and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams across multiple locations.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • A valid Security Guard D license.

  • A valid Security Guard G license or have the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.

  • Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the region.

  • Proficiency with scheduling, reporting, and workforce management systems.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a multi-site supervisory role within private security.

  • Experience supporting commercial, residential, or high-profile client environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.

  • Ability to conduct site inspections, stand, walk, and respond to incidents as necessary.

  • Ability to respond promptly to emergencies.

  • Ability to perform performance-related work and oversee operational KPIs as required.
