About the Role:

The Kitchen role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food preparation and service within a culinary environment. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene while supporting the kitchen team in daily tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a positive dining experience by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes according to recipes, and assisting with kitchen organization. Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure are critical to meeting service demands and maintaining consistency. Ultimately, this role supports the overall success of the kitchen by delivering timely, well-prepared meals that meet the establishment's standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food service environment.
  • Certification in food safety or ServSafe.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and portion guidelines.
  • Cook and assemble dishes in accordance with established quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Support the training of new kitchen team members as needed.
