Experience:
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
- Escort each patient to the operatory in a timely manner
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery and help monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels
- Confirm with medical history with patient and make any necessary changes needed
- Confirm the patient is aware of and educated on the treatment being performed
- Assist the oral surgeon by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing any necessary materials during surgery.
- Accurately document patient information and surgical details into the patient’s electronic health record (EHR).
- Assist with post-operative care instructions and ensure proper follow-up.
- Stock all operatories and designated sterilization area(s).?
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.?
Requirements
- Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state.
- Must excel in forward thinking to anticipate the needs of the patient and our dental team.
- May be required to travel between office locations. Must be insurable by the company’s insurance.
- Must be CPR Certified
- Dexterity and manual skills required for handling surgical instruments and assisting with procedures.
