About the Role

Description

Join our team for the summer harvest! We are seeking a Summer Elevator Operator (typically May - July), this role is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with the receiving, storing, and shipping of grain, as well as performing basic maintenance tasks. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, professional customer service and assist with inquiries or concerns 
  • Load and unload grain trucks; inspect grain for moisture, insects, and foreign material 
  • Operate grain handling equipment (conveyors, trippers, flow pipes, etc.) 
  • Monitor and record grain temperatures 
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs  
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and communicate effectively with team members 
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures 
  • Work flexible hours during harvest, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights 
  • Comfortable working in environments with grain dust, noise, and varying weather conditions 
  • Willingness to work long hours during seasonal harvest periods (typically May–July and/or fall) 
  • Strong attention to safety and ability to follow all safety protocols 
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and strong communication skills 
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed
