Description
Responsible for the management of all aspects of the assigned market’s activities to ensure maximum profits commensurate with the best interests of shareholders, customers, employees and the public. Function as a Lending Officer and act as a principal representative of the bank in the community. Along with the Branch Manager, oversee overall operations, staffing, and business development of the branch. Responsible for the performance of, but not limited to, the duties list below:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and direct the implementation of business strategy that will result in progress in the market.
- Perform commercial and consumer lending, including assembling credit and financial information.
- Generate income through assigning appropriate rates, terms, and fees to loans.
- Responsible for the initial loan screening process and approving loans within approved limits; provide evaluation of potential borrower loan request(s) and make recommendations to Loan Committee when loan amounts exceed approved lending limits.
- Communicate lending decisions to customers and follow rejection process and procedure when an applicant is denied.
- Responsible for preparing and presenting loan committee packages.
- Responsible for loan document review for signature and completeness and maintain notes and credit and lending records and files.
- Responsible for compliance with GCB loan policy and regulatory guidelines. Maintain asset quality, charge-offs, past dues, and non-performing assets within the bank’s established guidelines.
- Establish and maintain relations with other companies and businesses, community associations and governmental agencies.
- Work with Branch Manager and advise on policy questions, staff requirements, coaching, performance appraisals, salary administration, and other administrative matters. Lead team meetings as necessary.
- Participate in local community functions and civic clubs. Maintain involvement with a local charitable organization. Encourage staff involvement and participation in the community.
- Communicate and make product, interest rate, and other recommendations for the Market to Executive Leadership. Make recommendations concerning local market and competition. Participate in product development of commercial products and other services.
- Make recommendations to supervisor concerning budgetary needs of the bank.
- Promote and strive for quality customer service within the market.
- Coordinate with various departments (Operations, Loan Operations, Compliance, Security, Accounting, other branches, etc.), as needed, in maintaining the proper operation of the branch and servicing customers.
- Comply and stay updated on all policy, regulatory, and procedural changes.

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of lending products, banking industry rules and regulations, and the required documentation for obtaining a loan.

Experience
- 5 years+ lending experience; already licensed through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
- 5 years+ supervisory experience
- 5 years+ customer service experience and/or sales experience
