The Junior Engineer will assist senior staff with product design, technical documentation, and the execution of tests and simulations. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Description
This position will assist/support other engineers with design, research & development, conducting tests/inspections, gathering and analyzing data and collaborating with the team on varied projects.
Requirements
- Collaborate with senior engineers to help design or develop products, systems or solutions.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports, costs, estimates or other project documentation.
- Conduct testing, simulation, analysis – to evaluate performance, reliability and ensure the product/system meets specifications and standards.
- Gather and analyze data to support project goals and identify potential obstacles.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute to innovative ideas and assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients and suppliers.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Competency
- Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting engineering instructions and technical data.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage project teams and communicate with leadership.
- Skilled in planning, defining, and controlling project scope to ensure completion of required work.
- Ability to develop and execute program plans that meet contractual and stakeholder requirements.
- Expertise in dispute resolution and negotiation while maintaining positive relationships.
- Strong understanding of design, systems and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Working on a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field.
1-2 years of internship or related experience preferred.
