About the Role

Description

Expo Home Improvement is seeking a high-impact Field Marketing Trainer to elevate the performance of our face-to-face promoter teams across Texas. This is a traveling role, you'll move market to market (DFW, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and beyond), embedding directly with in-store and event teams to coach, train, and raise the bar. You've been in the trenches yourself: a proven top producer who knows what it takes to generate leads at a Walmart kiosk or a home show and can teach others to do the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel between Expo's Texas markets on a rotating schedule to deliver hands-on training for in-store promoters and event marketing staff
  • Conduct live demonstrations at retail locations and events, modeling best-in-class pitch techniques and lead generation approaches
  • Onboard new promoters and accelerate their ramp-up by working side-by-side in the field
  • Identify underperforming team members and locations; develop targeted coaching plans to improve results
  • Partner with Field Marketing Managers in each market to align training with local goals and schedules
  • Deliver structured training sessions covering product knowledge, objection handling, conversation openers, and appointment-setting
  • Track individual and team progress against KPIs (demos set, conversion rates, cost per lead); report findings to leadership
  • Develop and update training materials, playbooks, and scripts as the business evolves
  • Serve as a culture carrier, reinforcing Expo's standards, energy, and professionalism in every market you visit

Requirements

  • 3+ years of direct face-to-face marketing experience in home improvement, home services, or a comparable high-volume consumer product industry
  • Documented track record as a top producer, you've consistently ranked among the best in demo sets, appointments, or lead generation
  • Prior experience training, mentoring, or leading other F2F marketers (team lead, assistant manager, or formal training role)
  • Deep understanding of retail kiosk environments, home shows, and community events as lead generation channels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you can read a crowd, adapt your style, and connect with all personality types
  • Ability to travel extensively within Texas with a flexible schedule including weekends (prime in-store and event days)
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating with autonomy across multiple markets
  • Coachable mindset you lead by example and earn respect through performance, not just title
