Job Title: Temporary Cook – Golf Tournament

Location: The Riviera Country Club, 1250 Capri Drive, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272

Job Type: Temporary (Dates: May 29th - June 9th)

Compensation: $30/ hourly

Job Description:

The Riviera Country Club is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Temporary Cook to join our team for an exciting golf tournament event. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our members and guests. Preference will be given to those who have previously worked our tournaments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to meet high-quality standards, including event-specific and à la carte offerings.
  • Assist with food preparation and plating for tournament events, ensuring consistency and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak tournament hours.
  • Possibly monitoring a food station.
  • Follow all club policies and procedures, delivering outstanding service with a positive attitude.
  • All other duties that the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef assigns that is in line with your position.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a club, resort, or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks during busy service times.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and tournament-specific hours.
  • Culinary training or certification preferred but not required.
