Position: Driver - Fleet
Reports To: Fleet Manager
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Fleet Driver will transport vehicles between Wilson County Motors dealerships, customers, contractors, or other entities as needed. Safe driving by the driver is a job requirement to safeguard our employees and the community at large properly. The position is classified as part-time with varying schedules based on business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Realize that during customer interaction, the employee should remember the HERO (Helpful, Exceeds expectations, Represents us well, takes Ownership) program. Also, the customer is the highest priority of any employee of Wilson County Motors.
- Inspect vehicles scheduled for transport for issues that may result in the vehicle being unsafe for travel.
- This includes checking vehicles for battery charge and fuel.
- Visual inspection of tires.
- Report any unsafe issues, damages, or cleanliness issues to the Fleet Manager or their designate.
- Moving vehicles as directed (to other lots, auctions, etc.)
- Fueling vehicles as directed or as needed.
- Adhere to Driving Policies established by Wilson County Motors
- Collect and distribute required documents to/from the receiver and Wilson County Motors for documenting the delivery.
- Attain receipts for purchases that are to be reimbursed to the employee.
- Assisting Fleet Manager as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Will be standing and moving around the dealership and lot for the shift. The employee will be asked to lift or carry objects we may exceed 40lbs. The job will primarily be performed outdoors regardless of weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, snow, etc.) The position requires the employee to drive vehicles to customers in the Middle Tennessee area.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma, GED, or combination work/education equivalent.
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to stand, sit, and drive a vehicle for long periods.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using English
- Arrive to work on time.
- Some overnight travel might be necessary.
- Ability to follow directions
- Customer service focus.
- Ability to receive favorable results from a drug test.
