We are seeking a skilled Direct Response Copywriter based in South Africa to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a writer who specializes in persuasive, performance-driven copy that motivates audiences to take action. You will be responsible for creating compelling content across a variety of digital marketing channels, including landing pages, paid ads, email campaigns, sales funnels, and other conversion-focused materials.
The right candidate will have a strong understanding of direct response principles, audience psychology, and conversion optimization. You should be able to adapt your writing style to different brands, offers, and target audiences while maintaining clarity, consistency, and a strong call to action. Experience working with marketing teams, designers, or growth specialists is highly valued, as this role involves collaboration and a test-and-learn approach.

Responsibilities
- Write persuasive copy for ads, landing pages, emails, sales pages, and other marketing assets

- Revise and optimize copy based on feedback, testing, and performance results
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in direct response copywriting, conversion copywriting, or performance marketing
- Strong portfolio of high-converting copy
- Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Understanding of conversion principles and customer psychology
- Ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment
- Based in South Africa
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in DTC, eCommerce, SaaS, or lead generation
- Familiarity with CRO, SEO, and email marketing
- Experience with A/B testing or analytics tools
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
