About the Role

Description

Nestled high above LoHi on the fifth floor of 2930 Umatilla, El Five boasts spectacular, unobstructed views of the downtown Denver skyline. The menu pays tribute to Spain and the Mediterranean, featuring tapas & small plates built on bold flavors found throughout the region: Spain, North Africa, the Middle East. Inside, the highlight of the space is a large, open-air patio to enjoy incredible views of the Denver skyline.


In year 1 earn between $30–$35* per hour on average ( with tips included). Wages go higher from there based on tenure and proficiency. 

*Base wage of $19.29/hour plus tips through a tip pool system. Tips are shared across the team and added to your hourly pay

Schedule:
Tuesday – Saturday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM


Qualifications/Skills:

  • Own and manage the reservation book using OpenTable, ensuring optimal pacing and maximum utilization of all tables.
  • Proactively open, adjust, and release reservations to drive covers and increase overall sales.
  • Monitor booking trends and make real-time decisions to fill gaps and avoid underutilization.
  • Coordinate closely with management and the host team to balance walk-ins and reservations effectively.
  • Provide a warm, polished first impression while maintaining control of the door and guest flow.
  • Communicate wait times accurately and manage guest expectations with professionalism.
  • Identify VIPs, special occasions, and repeat guests to elevate the dining experience.
  • Troubleshoot reservation issues and support the team during high-volume periods.
  • Consistently full and well-paced reservation books.
  • Increased covers and optimized table turns.
  • Smooth, organized service flow with minimal bottlenecks.
  • Elevated guest experience from arrival through seating.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with OpenTable and reservation management strategies.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to think strategically about floor layout and pacing.
  • Confident decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to analyze booking patterns and adjust to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Physical stamina to stand & move throughout the duration of a shift
  • Open availability including nights & weekends
  • Must be able to lift over 20 lbs multiple times per shift
