Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of semiconductor capital equipment. The position spans development of new products as well as support of existing ones.
Electrical Design & Development
- Perform electrical engineering design work in support of KLA FaST tools, including system-level electrical architecture and design work.
- Contribute to schematic, layout, and electrical system design activities in collaboration with EE, ME, and Mechatronics teams.
System Troubleshooting & Escalation Support
- Lead and support troubleshooting of complex electrical and system-level issues on FaST tools.
- Provide escalation support once fully trained, including root cause analysis and corrective action definition.
- Interface directly with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve high-impact issues affecting tool performance, reliability, or schedule.
Manufacturing & Field Support
- Support engineering builds, manufacturing bring-up, and early system integration activities.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues encountered during factory build, qualification, or customer site operation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Field Service, and Sustaining Engineering to ensure robust electrical solutions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software, Systems, and Program Management teams.
- Participate in technical reviews and provide electrical engineering input to system-level decisions.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
Travel & Global Support
- Provide on-site technical support when needed during critical program phases.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong hands-on electrical design experience
System integration and troubleshooting skills in a cross-functional development environment.
Availability for domestic and international travel as required, to support tool builds, escalations, and customer engagements.
