JOB SUMMARY

At Bear Tooth, the primary responsibility of a server is to ensure that every patron has an exceptional dining experience. This involves welcoming guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring that orders are delivered promptly and of high quality, processing payments, and working collaboratively with colleagues to meet each customer's specific needs and expectations. This position is seasonal and will end in mid-September with the conclusion of the summer season.

Applicants must have 1+ year restaurant experience. Open availability preferred; weekends required. This position is seasonal, running through the summer until mid-September.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies
2. Extensive knowledge of the food, drink, and specials menus
3. Accurately take, ring in, and serve orders to the customers’ specifications
4. Able to use the POS systems with efficiency
5. Monitor guests throughout their visit, ensuring their satisfaction with products and services
6. Conduct all monetary transactions with attention to detail
7. Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
8. Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
9. Communicate clearly and professionally with all persons in the restaurant
10. Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
11. Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older with a current TAPS Card and Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card. Previous serving or bartending experience is preferred but not required.

Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions

1. Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
2. Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
3. Lift and carry 30+lbs.
4. Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
5. Bend, reach, stoop, move quickly, and wipe frequently
6. Work in close proximity to coworkers in a fast-paced environment
7. Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
8. Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverage terminology
