We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Open Learning:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Assisting the Manager in planning and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, including events and digital strategies, to support overall goals of the university and the School;
Assisting the Manager in the development of School publications and marketing collateral, PowerPoint presentations, visuals and videos, ensuring alignment with University brand guidelines and reinforcing the School brand;
Assisting the Manager in effective planning, execution and evaluation of school events, student learning support services and activities, special projects and functions;
Liaising with internal and external parties to ensure that the school activities, services and programmes pertaining to distance-learning and part-time students’ learning and support are effectively provided;
Taking part in office management and supervise supporting staff in the day-to-day operations of the School; and
Performing any other duties as assigned.
The appointee may be required to work occasionally outside normal office hours, including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A recognised degree preferably in marketing, communications, creative arts or design, with at least 4 years of relevant working experience;
Extensive knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, with a strong proficiency in using various digital media platforms (such as Youtube, Facebook, Google Ads, Wechat, Rednote etc.) and familiar with the social media operation strategies between Mainland China and Hong Kong;
Experience in managing website design and maintenance and possess knowledge of publishing and editing of website content, graphic design and video taking. Proficient use of AI tools to enhance content creation, design, and data handling will be an advantage;
Candidate with proven track record of managing marketing campaigns within mainland China and a good understanding of the educational landscape will be an advantage;
Mature, proactive, detail-oriented, and have good interpersonal and communication skills; good project management and problem solving skills, and an ability to work independently under tight deadlines;
A good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua; and
Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
