Shipping Analyst

The Shipping Analyst is responsible for managing post-fixture voyage claims, invoice issuance, and contract management for time charterers and pools. They will also conduct voyage profit and loss analysis and collaborate with the finance team on operational profitability and budgeting.

    Job Description

    • Handling post fixture voyage claims
    • Manage invoice issuance and post-fixture voyage claims in accordance with contractual term.
    • Handling hires and other claims of ship owners.
    • Collaborate with Finance team on operational profitability, budgeting variances, and basic financial accounting.
    • Time charterers and pools contract management.
    • Voyage profit and loss analysis and reporting
    • Follow up with counterparties for timely payment and keeping records of outstanding amounts
    • Monitor Shipping portfolio to ensure accurate market exposure management

    Qualifications

    • University degree in Maritime or an equivalent field.
    • At least 2 years relevant experience in post fixture claims with a reputed tanker owner, commercial tanker operator, oil major or oil trader
    • Experienced in financial accounting would be an added advantage
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
    • Proactive, meticulous with a strong sense of responsibility
    • Team player and able to work independently
    • Good communication / interpersonal skills.
