Fusion MasTech Inc. (FMTI) is pursuing a new contract opportunity, and this position is contingent upon contract award. FMTI is seeking highly qualified Senior Test Engineer professionals to perform in the positions of Product T&E Representative Support (Embedded Tester). These positions are embedded within SAFe Agile product teams and are responsible for ensuring product quality through continuous testing and evaluation practices integrated across the development lifecycle. This role assesses test coverage and quality, establishes acceptance standards, supports the development of both automated and manual test assets, and ensures testing activities align to user stories and approved acceptance criteria. Senior Test Engineers also mentor and guide junior test engineers, and influence them to successfully contribute to the team’s meeting the customer’s mission requirements.
This position is hybrid near Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in Agile ceremonies (daily scrum, planning, refinement, review, retrospectives) and SAFe PI Planning to ensure testability and acceptance clarity for user stories.
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases aligned to acceptance criteria; execute acceptance testing to validate delivered functionality.
- Assess and improve test coverage across the team’s scope; identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate defect identification, documentation, prioritization, and tracking in Jira; report defect trends and quality risks to stakeholders.
- Support integration of test execution into CI/CD pipelines, including pipeline gate thresholds and automated regression validation.
- Support UAT readiness activities including test planning, execution support, and reporting.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years (2+ years test automation preferred) (Tricentis Tosca experience preferred)
Certifications:
- Security+ CE
- SAFe Practitioner (SP) or CSM/PSM I
- ISTQB CTFL
Security Clearance:
- Candidates must have active Top Secret clearance with ability to be cleared to Top Secret/SCI.
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.):
- Hybrid Work Environment: Work From Home and attend scheduled work sessions near Fort Meade, MD.
- Travel: Participate in scheduled meetings in and around the DC metropolitan area. Potential travel to locations throughout CONUS.
