Job Summary:??? 

Terra Mae is seeking a visionary and highly organized Bar Lead to head our beverage program and cultivate a high-standard service culture. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the oversight of the bar operations and bar team of Terra Mae, as well as assisting with bar operations for all Food & Beverage outlets at Cascada. You will ensure consistency and quality, from creative menu development and inventory management. You will be a vital part of creating a memorable dining experience for our guests, and ensuring our bar team does the same, guiding guests through our fusion menu, preparing and serving creative cocktails, and ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. 

Key Responsibilities:? 

  • Customer Service: Warmly?greet?and welcome guests, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.? 
  • Menu Knowledge:?Acquire?a deep understanding of our food and drink menu, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and the cultural background of each dish, to provide informed recommendations to guests.? 
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the bar team to design cocktails that complement our Portuguese Japanese fusion menu. 
  • Bartending: Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, and other beverages,?maintaining?precision and creativity in every drink.? 
  • Cost Control: Monitor pour costs, minimize waste, and manage inventory with high precision. 
  • Order Taking: Accurately take and input food and beverage orders, ensuring timeliness and attention to detail.? 
  • Food & Drink Presentation:?Serve food and beverages with a keen eye for presentation,?showcasing?the quality and artistry of our culinary offerings.? 
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage relationships with vendors and ensure the bar(s) is fully stocked. 
  • Table and Bar Maintenance: Keep the dining area and bar tidy, refilling drinks and clearing dishes as needed for a clean and welcoming environment.? 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and communication.? 
  • Upselling: Suggest menu items, pairings, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.? 
  • Payment Processing: Accurately handle payments, issue receipts, and ensure a seamless checkout experience.? 
  • Training: Educate the service team on spirits, wine pairings, and the “story” behind every drink so they can sell with confidence. 
  • Lead by Example: Maintain a calm, commanding presence during high-volume shifts to keep the team grounded. 

Requirements

Qualifications:? 

  • Previous?experience in a restaurant, bar, or upscale dining environment?required.? 
  • Must hold an active Food Handlers and Alcohol Certification? 
  • Passion for food,?beverages, and cultural fusion.? 
  • Strong communication?and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while?maintaining?attention to detail.? 
  • Effective multitasking abilities and a positive attitude.?
