We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Information Technology Office:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Leading a team of IT professionals in the development, administration and operation of the University’s IT infrastructure and systems in the following areas:
Campus network and data communication, e.g. core network, subnets, cabling, Wi-Fi, firewall, VPN, etc.
Internet, Intranet, DNS and network load balancing;
VM and SAN infrastructure;
Leading the team to provide smooth IT services, reliable server infrastructure, and efficient network operations;
Overseeing servers and systems administration, with accountability for system services availability, performance, resilence and security controls;
Assisting the IT Office in planning, formulating, and implementing relevant IT strategies, policies, and infrastructure projects to support the University’s developments; and
Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
A recognized degree in computer science, Information Technology or related discipline;
Substantial years of relevant experience in managing IT infrastructure, preferably with exposure in campus networking, Wi-Fi, server farms and storage;
Solid and extensive experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects;
Hands-on experience in system implementation and technical support of enterprise solutions (e.g. NetIQ IAM, SharePoint, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, IP phone systems);
Profound leadership and ability to work under pressure;
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; and
Good communication skills in both English and Chinese.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
